On March 27, 2026, Jay Jacobs was appointed to the Board of Directors of iShares Delaware Trust Sponsor LLC, the sponsor of the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF. This appointment was made by BlackRock Asset Management International Inc., which is the member of the Sponsor. In addition to his board position, Mr. Jacobs has also taken on the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Sponsor. Mr. Jacobs brings a wealth of experience to this position, having served as the U.S. Head of Equity ETFs at BlackRock since April 2025, where he oversaw product strategy and client engagement for BlackRock's U.S. index and active equity ETF business. His previous experience includes founding and leading the research and strategy team at Global X ETFs and working as a business analyst at the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Jacobs holds a BA in International Studies from Emory University and an MBA from Columbia Business School, and he is a CFA charterholder. Alongside this appointment, Shannon Ghia has resigned from her positions as Director and President and CEO of the Sponsor. Her resignation was not due to any disputes or disagreements regarding the Trust's operations or policies. This leadership change is expected to positively influence the strategic direction of the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF, as Mr. Jacobs' extensive background in ETFs and asset management may enhance the Trust's market position and operational execution.
