Jay Jacobs Appointed as President and CEO of iShares Delaware Trust Sponsor LLC

On March 27, 2026, Jay Jacobs was appointed to the Board of Directors of iShares Delaware Trust Sponsor LLC, the sponsor of iShares® Silver Trust. This appointment was made by BlackRock Asset Management International Inc., which is the member of the Sponsor. In addition to his board position, Mr. Jacobs has also taken on the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Sponsor. Mr. Jacobs is a Managing Director at BlackRock, Inc. and has been serving as the U.S. Head of Equity ETFs at BlackRock since April 2025. His responsibilities include overseeing product strategy, thought leadership, and client engagement for BlackRock's U.S. index and active equity ETF business. Prior to joining BlackRock, he founded and led the research and strategy team at Global X ETFs from 2013 to 2022. His extensive experience in the ETF sector is expected to bring valuable insights and leadership to the Sponsor. Furthermore, effective the same day, Shannon Ghia resigned from her positions as Director and President and CEO of the Sponsor. It is noted that her resignation was not due to any disputes or disagreements regarding the operations or policies of the Trust. This leadership change is anticipated to have a positive impact on the strategic direction of the Trust, as Mr. Jacobs' background in equity ETFs aligns well with the objectives of the iShares Silver Trust.
