CVD Equipment Corporation (NASDAQ: CVV) announced on March 23, 2026, that it has entered into a definitive Asset Purchase Agreement with Atlas Copco Group, a Swedish company. Under this agreement, CVD will sell its Stainless Design Concepts (SDC) business division for approximately $16.9 million in cash, subject to certain adjustments. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, pending customary closing conditions. CVD will retain ownership of its Saugerties, New York facility, which will be leased to Atlas Copco for an initial term of two years following the closing. This strategic divestiture aligns with CVD's goal to focus on its core business and enhance financial flexibility. The proceeds from the sale are anticipated to strengthen CVD's balance sheet and support future initiatives aimed at maximizing shareholder value. CVD's President and CEO, Manny Lakios, emphasized that this move is part of a broader strategy to pursue alternatives that will benefit the company and its shareholders.
