AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) has announced the successful acquisition of Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. (ESAero) for approximately $200 million. This strategic move, finalized on March 16, 2026, is expected to significantly bolster AeroVironment's manufacturing capabilities in the electric and unmanned aviation sectors. The acquisition includes a combination of cash and stock, with approximately $160 million paid in stock and the remainder in cash, subject to post-closing adjustments.
